# Auto-fix

> How auto-fix resolves issues automatically and when to leave it off.

Auto-fix is PX's automatic resolution of safe-to-fix findings. When it is on for a property, PX moves unresolved findings into a queue and resolves them in the background.

## Where the toggles live

* **Per-property** - the **Auto-Fix** column in the Properties table, and the toggle on the property detail page header.
* **Globally** - the **Auto-fix all** toggle in the Properties table card header. Flipping this updates every property in your account at once.

The two layers are stored together: flipping global on sets every property to on. Flipping global off does the same in reverse. After that, you can fine-tune per-property.

## What changes when auto-fix is on

On the property detail Overview tab:

* Unresolved findings show a **Fix in Progress** badge.
* The **Start Fix** and **Dismiss** buttons are not shown.
* The help text reads: *"Auto-fix is enabled. Issues will be processed automatically."*

On the Properties table:

* The **In Progress** column shows the count of findings PX is processing for that property.
* The **Auto-Fix** column shows the toggle in its on state.

## What auto-fix actually does

Auto-fix resolves findings that are deterministic and safe - the kind of issue with a single correct outcome. Examples include:

* Marking a clearly fixed issue as resolved when a follow-up reservation update made it whole.
* Closing duplicate findings that point to the same underlying issue.
* Re-running checks after a PMS configuration change to clear obsolete findings.

When a finding requires a change in your PMS to actually be fixed (a missing tax line, a wrong commission rate on a booking, etc.), PX coordinates the change directly with your PMS on your behalf and then updates the finding status once the change is confirmed.

## When to leave auto-fix off

Leave it off if:

* You are still onboarding and want a human to review each finding the first time around.
* You are running a one-time clean-up across historical bookings and want to triage manually.
* You want a per-finding audit trail that shows every Start Fix or Dismiss action.

You can always start with auto-fix off, work through findings manually for a couple of weeks, and flip it on once the cadence is comfortable.

## Manual flow (auto-fix off)

For each unresolved finding on the property detail Overview tab:

* Click **Start Fix** to mark it in progress. PX records the timestamp and (where applicable) the fix details.
* Click **Dismiss** to close the finding without fixing. Use this for false positives or bookings outside the audit scope.

Both actions are reversible - opening the issue and toggling status updates the audit log.

## Visibility

Open the **Home** dashboard to see an aggregate view of how auto-fix is doing across the portfolio:

* **Issues by Status** - donut chart of unresolved / in progress / fixed / dismissed.
* **Issues Trend (14 days)** - detected vs fixed lines over time.
* **Properties Needing Attention** - listings with the most unresolved findings.
